Mary Hillier in Julia Margaret Cameron's The Day Dream (1869) Oil Painting

JMC (1818-1879) was one of the most prolific and advanced photographers of her time.

The sitter in this painting was Mary Hillier who was her housemaid. She was one of the most constant and beautiful models JMC used.

I know nothing of the artist that painted this beautiful painting, her name is Donna L. Cote' and next to her signature the number 83 and I am assuming that is when it was painted. I researched the name to no avail.

The measurements are 15" X 12".
