1880 -1900 Firewood/Log Storage Box, Fireplace Decor, Living room Decor, your favorite magazine storage/holder/flowerpot/herbs holder

This wooden oblong oversized, X -large, and deep 34’ X 15” X 9” it is put together with horseshoe nails which indicates age.
I believe this box dates to the late 1880-1900 hundred. The rope is tied in a knot that I do not recognize!
I can see so many decorative ways to use it from firewood storage by the fireplace to holding rolled up towels in the bathroom,
flowerpots on the porch or for your home-grown herbs!
